I also enjoy the Khalt resilience mechanic but I'm not 100% sure how it works. How can I find out my base resilience? Also I agree that absorbing doubles is freaking tough, I much prefer to just power through the second hit.

Nice. This is very good information
-
I use Shock-wave offensively; I just burn through my stamina then Shock at the end of my combo to prevent retaliation.

Hi Irina, I think the build you're after should be balanced like so: Depending on gear (approximation) - 80 Blunt resistance, 16 Mobility (Normal), 100 Damage That's a good standard if you're expecting to trade a few blows. Deck wise: Relatively f…

No disrespect but... why? I think carrying health between rounds makes the fight more interesting and it makes more sense in the context of having shards carry-over.
-
Pre-expansion, yes, the Charged attacks seemed to fill the low/lateral niche that seemed to be lacking; but post-expansion, the Faejin set has accounted for those shortcomings beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the Dev's approach; really 10/10…

If I run into the hack meta, I just use it as an opportunity to practice my class ability. I don’t fight, I just stand there an practice Absorb. Nothing pisses them off more than turning them into a practice dummy
-
I’d like a guard break PUNCH.

Hey there boxers. I liked your decks but they both seemed to lean heavily on Charged attacks. I can certainly understand why but those attacks always felt a little...dirty. Anybody playing on hard-mode? (e.g. no crutch moves)
-
Most of what you said it true but some of it doesn't apply to me. WWDP gets through my defensive (the second hit breaks my Absorb) and I can't avoid low because there are no punches that do that (besides Falcon but its too slow). But yes, I agree,…

Sounds good, I'll find you on there. By the way, the name clarification is helpful; my first thought was "Mitt Romney plays Absolver!?"
-
I've noticed Khalt is only effective if you Absorb and counter at almost the exact same time. The ability doesn't hinder the attacker at all, it just opens a tiny window to interrupt with your own fast attack, so you need to have something like Jab…

Ha, sorry for trashing your style methamos; for what its worth, it's not they ability that irritates me, its the moves.
-
Integr8, I meant heavy like 180+. Regarding the styles (the 3 real styles), I think they're pretty well balanced; slight advantage Khalt. I think Forsaken used to be OP but with its slightly smaller punish window, it doesn't allow for truly devast…

I'm in the same boat as methamos. I haven't had many problems against P&S, but since I've started using it, I've noticed it gets me out of trouble a lot... maybe too much. That being said, I have way more issues with BTK and WWDP; I play Khalt…

First of all, a single Hydrogen atom contains only a teensy-tiny amount of energy. It would take billions to match the devastating energy of... a match. Nuclear explosions are devastating because they cause a chain reaction, an individual fusion c…

OK insight, I'm bored at work so I've researched the crap out of this to try and contest my own skeptical theories. Based on everything I can find, here's is my revised theory of "Qi" (as it relates to strength): Basically, people are crazy stronge…

Oh I agree you 100%. Like many things, they both have their place. I absolutely believe that qigong and taichi are great for recovery, flexibility, etc. I'm just saying that Qi has nothing to do with it. Those styles are beneficial for very simp…

Yeah, definitely. Not only did I live there, I came back and studied this stuff. I even took TONS of Chinese medicine and had Qi treatments. On one occasion, a woman waved her hands up and down my body while repeatedly burping! Supposedly she wa…

Yes and no. I am somewhat referring to Qi. I lived in China for a few years and got my Bachelors degree in Chinese; the whole origin of "qi" and its meaning makes it clear that it has no basis in reality and no function in fighting. As for tensio…

Generally I agree with all the thoughtful posts on this thread. I would just add that "Martial Arts" don't strictly need to be FOR fighting, but rather related to fighting or inspired by it. I truly believe that real combat is inherently ugly; it'…

HAIL CAESAR!... yeah, it can be a problem. I've been repeatedly suggesting that attacks below a certain damage don't interrupt. (shrug) but nobody seems to like that one. I've heard increased stamina cost for gold-linking thrown around, might hel…
-
Oh, my mistake, thanks methamos. Well in that case P&S kind of sucks. I mean, if you know what they're gonna throw, and you have a properly timed Parry, why not use the real thing and have a solid punish. Timing a successful parry just to thr…
-
I don't think "everyone knows it's imbalanced"; honestly I think we're just confused. So lets walk through this: When you attack, you get interrupted. Got it. And when you Avoid, you get jabbed again before you can punish. OK. The first solution…
-
The bullshit thing about Parry-Strike is that it Parries everything; if the move only parried left or right (like the ability) it wouldn't be so bad.
-
If they're just repeatedly punching you, I would say its more like Boxing cheap shots
-
I have encountered this before, and depending on your deck, it can be annoying. A jab › Direct-Punch loop can be frustrating sometimes if you don't have certain dodge-attacks, and even if you can counter it, its certainly not fun. In scenarios lik…
-
Have you tried using any ducking moves? There's tons to choose from.
-
I agree RepoMan; they are ridiculous looking and clearly OP. They're fast, decent range, double-hit, hit laterally (can't side-avoid) AND they dodge high attacks. WWDP and Handstand kick are especially hard to deal with as a Khalt. It's easy to s…
