Absolver 1.06 is Live
Hi everyone,
We've just pushed the 1.06 update on all platforms and it will be rolling out today! Sorry for the delay on this, a couple of bugs took a little longer than expected. Full patch notes are below, the main bugfixes are the powers/items loss issue, crashes during bosses cutscenes, and disconnects during Combat Trials which should happen far less frequently now.
If you have new issues after this update, or that previous issues are still happening, please let us know at support_PC@sloclap.com, indicating which region you're playing from!
We know that it can be frustrating to get duplicates as rewards in Combat Trials, and we wanted to thank everyone for their support until now, so we've added new masks in the Guidance HUB; rest assured we're also working hard at reworking the loot system and the end-game rewards, but in the meantime, we wanted to make new masks available to everyone. These masks are inspired by Devolver games, and we think they're pretty cool, so we hope you like them too ! These masks won't be there forever, so grab them while you can
Thanks again,
Sloclap Team

Game may be unplayable for me. I feel like 1.05 didn't really improve the bugs and network issues for me either. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?
Parry, basically is too slow to pull off and offers a very very slight window to counter punch (unless you have freaky fast reflexes), and people can easily dodge a power hit, now with less stamina it is even worse to use.
In all out honesty it could use either a boost to the counter window, or a very very slight negative attack drain or stamina drain, because if I parry someone in real life, they are not going to hit me with full strength on the next punch, a parry kills someones momentum and with the window to strike back being so short this would help, that way if a fast move hits directly after a parry it's not making the parry feel useless.
I've seen a video of where the masks are supposed to be; if they're not there does that mean they're not available anymore?
In Absolver there is a small world, a good looking world, but a world so small that you feel like you are always bumping your elbows on it. After three hours, you've seen that world, and everything after that is just running the same loop over and over again. Part of that loop is running around everywhere because there is no fast travel, and because you've seen the world after just a few hours, running around in it again and again is equivalent to mandatory boredom. That's mandatory boredom built into the standard gameplay loop. This wouldn't be such a big deal if the online were working. The experience of bumping into players, cooperating with them, schooling, and starting fights would break up that boredom enough to make it unnoticeable, but since most people can only enjoy the combat as intended in offline mode, that boredom is showcased front and center.
This isn't the worst launch experience I've ever had with a game. It's not even the worst I've had this year (ME: Andromeda, I'm looking at you). But, this is the most frustrated I've felt by a game launch in ages. In the abstract, I love what this game is and what it is trying to do. I mean, I'm here aren't I, posting on these boards. But I've had this game since launch and I've yet to have the intended experience with it. I haven't even gotten into schools yet because of how connectivity has been affecting my experience in Combat Trials. That sucks. What also sucks is that I am dangerously close to feeling the same way. I feel like when I uninstall this game, it will stay uninstalled for good at this point. It's a multi-player game that, in its current state, I can't recommend to friends. That's stupid. What is the point of a game like that?
dont want my money back tho i still like the game
but i hope you devs can fix it
That and the weird animation frame skips going on.
