The next patch update might address this -- I've seen some of the comments and videos from the beta, and it looks like the strength of non-stagger moves are getting buffed. If this is a case, it's better then a nerf. I disagree with the problem bein…

I also agree that the jab isn't a problem, it can be ducked with low avoids, side-avoided, or avoided pretty easily if you're at the right range. If you're in close to somebody, a jab is going to be faster than doing a high side kick or spinning aro…

And i would add a damage multiplier when getting hit while making an avoid move. It would just make sense because regarding to real fights "dodging" Into an attack makes you a lot more vulnerable to it. That's a great idea -- an impact is stronger w…

ROFL. Yeap -- that kind of cheese deck or the equivalent is the majority. What I would like is a good fast knee to the teeth to interrupt that WWDP (liver knee?). Or, a fast mid level kick to the side of the head -- anything other than jlk, which sh…

That's how I felt most of the time when I was learning. I'm wondering if stagger style is supposed to be OP because it is the last one you learn, so the other moves are a stepping stone to stagger. I think for most people, this is fine -- the moves …

As an aside, maybe these moves should get stronger the drunker the person gets? Add in a gourd of whiskey someone can carry around?

Nice thread Whirlwind double punch Grab and punch Double fist stretch Twist back kick Drunken paw Handstand kick Spiral back punch Donkey slap Basically, most stagger moves, because they can be used as get out of jail free cards from most other t…

Btw i keep having this scenerio where basically my opponent is applying serious pressure (at high speed as usual) And i cant move, not like i literally cant move but my dash wont respond nor will my windfall evade. No a huge deal but in the long ru…

Vital, Windfall didn't get a buff, so much as avoid is actually working as it should, now. sooo it seems that goldlink spam is back... No, it isn't. At the beginning, before you play enough to know the timing of each move, it may seem like everyth…

Okay, played a few matches. Absolver is back -- this is the patch to copy onto a drive, find a secure bank vault and keep it there. It feels smooth, tactical, fast, and balanced. Top notch patch! Thanks again!!!

Wow -- targeted the patch for next week and got it out the door the next day. Amazing.

Awesome, can't way to try things out!! Thank you for the awesome turn-around and support for this game!

With all styles im trying to use parry, dodge, absorb only as a last resort. Attacks have all avoids you need. Not sure if that was the original intention of them. A deck that uses low sweep, low sweep, WWDP, for example, is pretty cheesy, IMO. If s…

I think the reason absorb is op is that it can be spammed so quickly. In comparison to parry and avoid -- which both lead to heavy punishes if the timing or direction is off -- khalt only has to worry about timing, so it's more difficult to punish. …

These are cool ideas -- but the reflect would probably be a bit op, and the freeze frames also seem op, so I'm not sure if this would balance out. Somehow things worked a lot better before -- I think it was that moves didn't push people back so much…

I'd say that the best thing to do with a patch that changes core fundamental mechanics would be to beta it and get player feedback before going ahead with the patch. I know that Elder Scrolls Online does this, not sure about other MMO's, but I'm ass…

Yeah, ironically it's the khalt changes that are making me take a break, too. The gold-link changes didn't effect me as much because my style has been interrupt / counter-attack since the beginning. That style works great now, except against top-tie…

Pod, I'd say that adding those things is more of an optional feature (which may have changed how everyone played, I don't know), while these are subtle changes that effect every aspect of game-play. The feel is different. It's similar to 1.06 where …
-
I think the problem isn't that some people like or dislike the changes -- but that the changes are too fundamental to make with a core group of players that have sunk hundreds and hundreds of hours into the game from day 1. If the game feels like a …

I think it's this part of the patch that should be looked at asap: "Gold link release set specifically per attack". That being said, there's a lot of good changes, like folding the weapons, and move balancing. However, fundamental mechanic changes a…

There's a lot of talk on the PSN forums of long time players of quitting the game because of the change in mechanics. The move balancing and class balancing are one thing, but changing the fundamentals at this stage might be a mistake that's going t…

I agree, Feix, it's a minority opinion, but those that feel this way (me included) feel pretty strongly about it. I've banned stagger moves from my deck since day 1, and have managed to win the majority of fights -- after a large learning curve of f…

I agree -- I give low level fighters in CT 2 rounds, and focus on my class skills. However, if my opponent dashes at me while I'm bowing, tries to ledge me with shockwave, or runs and heals mid-fight, then the gloves are off
-
I agree with the cross punch -- it's way too slow and telegraphed. Too many stagger moves are overpowered to the point that every high level deck is heavily stacked with stagger moves. If any moves need to be looked at, it's stagger.

I think for people that run and heal there should be shovels or rakes strategically placed around each map, so that they step on them and get smacked in the face like Looney Tunes. Maybe in the next update?
-
Makes sense, and I don't disagree with you -- when I get paired with low level people that don't block it's not that fun for me, either. On the other side of the coin, the skilled player wants another skilled player to fight. However, as you said, t…

Finally (three posts in a row, sorry), there are cooperative sparring communities within Absolver where people help each other out. Entering combat trials is entering the lion's den, if you aren't on a friendly playing field with the opponent. If sc…

I get that the game should be challenging but you got these leet boi's who take great pleasure in simply taking apart newer players and the game doesnt protect the people who are new. I think the attitude that a good player should go easy on you is…

There's a safeguard in place for new players that are getting mauled, and it's the school system. If you're new and getting mauled, check if the person that beat you has a school. If they do, join up and see if you can't learn something from how the…

No problem. I make sure I never drop below "slow", and stay right at the edge. I'm assuming this slows me a bit with weapons, but I rarely use them, and have no problems when I do. I also use a few good strong attacks. I never cared about staying in…
