Few attacks that hit just before they actually should visually.

Please adjust the point where these attacks connect in the animation for clarity, even if you need to speed up the animation slightly to retain the same startup time.

  • Upon further inspection this seems to happen with every attack in the game. The player hurtbox is probably to too big, or the hitboxes on all attacks just become active too early in the animation.

  • Yea I noticed this recently. I thought maybe it was to help with the slightly laggy matches and connecting with attacks during the lag.

    But, I haven't done any tests, apart from getting hit when I felt like the kick didn't even hit me yet.
    (Urawameshi is the worst one)
  • yea this needs fixing it makes it harder to time defencive abilities. Some attacks even hit further then the characters actual limbs.
  • Would also like to point out the fact that latency will allow some attacks to hit even earlier, which this issue makes even more jarring. I even tested every attack on a LAN connection at various ranges, and every single attack hit too early regardless of the range either player was at. With and without host advantage.

    This took forever since low hitpause attacks are harder to catch right when they hit. Stagger attacks seem to have it even worse overall.

    Winged Back Kick: Hits before Leg Extends out when the leg is almost done pulling back.

    Illusion Twist Kick: Jump Fart?

    Puropera Cut: Hitting the chest before the sword even gets there.

    Jumped Spin Kick: Looks like it hit from the opposite side, but I assure you it's hitting from the left side... EARLY.

    Low Spin Heel: Do I even need to say anything?


    Also happens with every other attack in the game, will add more evidence later.

  • Nope. The hitpause shows exactly when an attack registers as a hit, and all these screenshots were taken at the moment of impact.
