Earthquake is BROKEN.

Yeah, i tried to be objective about the current EQ meta, but its seriously ruining skilled competitive play.

A player running a high shard recharge EQ build can beat a player not running EQ twice his skill with ease.
I've lost to multiple players recently that never even used their class skill once in a match yet simply EQ'd their way out of pressure every other combo.

Ive never ran EQ since launch, and have no desire to, but i honestly have zero choice in the matter anymore if i dont' want to get cheesed by every other bum out there.

PLEASE SLOCLAP EQ needs balancing, period.
thank you.

  • Hello DEACON,

Thank you for your feedback about the Earthquake. I have passed along your feedback to the rest of the team. We're constantly working on improving the game and player's feedback are valuable for us, so do not hesitate to share more details and thoughts. Thanks!
  • I second this!!! My suggestion would be to make it at least a 3shard ability or put some kind of a cool down time on it! It’s currently way too powerful for pvp!
  • Its unbelievable annoying and get in a ridiculous way spammend.

    4 shard

    xD 4,2 ^^

  • I think increasing the cost wouldnt fix the problem , itll only make it more rare.

Instead id suggest to get more counter messures against EQ. For example remove the invulnerability and make it slower and replace those with ducking frames and 1lvl of resilience.
  • I might be wrong here, but isn't EQ kinda like the noob tube of Absolver?

Good players don't need it, as they have lots of other ways to get out of fast combos, but it helps newbies to get out of a flurry of hits against them where they don't know the tools yet to get out?
  • @Malyngo yes its often used like that but experienced players use it too.
  • In case you didn't notice if you are jumping when someone does an earthquake it has no effect on you. I have seen many satisfying flying kicks to the face of my enemy mid earthquake. Its really finicky to do but it does work. Likewise I have noticed that if you time a Shockwave with the impact of the incoming attack, it cancels both the attack and the shockwave, allowing you to use it again. That's hella hard to pull off, but it works. I don't know if either of the above are intentional. I only know that I have done both in gameplay.

I think it just need less advantage frames because it can confirm modarate damage and there times that i tried to dodge or counter the guardbreak attacks and it always fails, so you have to chose to take the health damage or the stamina damage. Definitely OP.
