Quick question about speed

Hi folks

I run what I would call a speed build. light gear and quick, low-damage moves. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your mobility stat doesn't actually affect the speed of the moves? It does affect the distance to your dash though, yes?

I enjoy a fair fight and have no issue with having my @$$ handed to me by a better player, no rage quits no hard feelings. But... I've just been annihilated by a player who was wearing heavy gear and had a lot of high damage slower moves in his/her deck, and they were executed at blinding speed, all of them. One might say unreasonably fast. What gives? How is this sorcery achieved? I also want to be the flash. Any advice?

Cheers for now.

  • Gold-linking is your friend, as long as your mobility is normal, you too can gold-link like the Flash.

I am a gold link machine. I'm talking unnatural speed. I need to start recording my sessions so I can show you what I mean. I'm even tempted to say hacking but don't want to sound like a sore loser.
  • They could be using a macro.

I actually encountered the same player in the combat trials a few days later and it was completely different. Speed seemed to be back to normal. I speculate that it had something to do with a weird connection issue.
  • There is a really strange bug I've come across since release but I can't pin-point what causes it.
Basically your moves get accelerated much faster than they should be, it's very noticeable on moves like Back Tripped Kick.
I don't have a clue what causes it, it's very annoying when I encounter a player with the bug. It might have something to do with Stagger, or stagger moves. Again, no idea, I can't replicate it.
