How about being able to spectate online fights from either a character POV (From your player character) or as a floating camera like most other games do. This could be quite awesome if your character could slowly learn the players moves whilst you are ACTIVELY watching the duel. This could also make the fights seem more interesting from narrative perspectives and give the game more content.
