• They've been on and off throughout the day. Kind of lucky if the servers are up if you're getting on at peak times. Hopefully a patch comes out within the week.

• I believe if you use the stagger deck while in Combat Trials it should contribute to your progress in the school, and thus learning the moves, however, I've not done this myself.

• I found that exploring for a while, finding altars and seeing where the green dot moved was enough to orient myself. It is a little tricky identifying which direction is North however.
