it already is, i messured the damage reduction with a friend. to keep it short: try to get as much armor as you can while staying in the cathegory fast or normal to get the most advantage. or just care about the look
the data is some month old but i havent read any changes so it should be accurate.
+0,4% life for the specific armor type for each armor point -0,3% damage youre dealing to your opponent for each kilogram of weight - minor stamina regeneration decrease within the movement type (fast, normal, slow) - 25% stamina regeneration from fast to normal - 20% stamina regeneration from normal to slow
note: you can get about 4-5 armor points for blunt damage for each kilogram of weight
Wait, so at most.. Like slow type heavy armor only gives 25% coverage, but you lose 45% stamina Regen and 1/2 your speed? 2 negatives for half a positive?!? No one will think armor is worth it with those numbers...
actually its balanced enough that armor can make sense. for example my normal equipment has 16 speed and about 80 blunt armor thats: ca. - 5% damage and ca. - 25% stamina regeneration for ca. + 32% life
So like Vanguard said it should depend on your playstyle. Still i recommend to get full use of the movementspeed type, for example i chose 16 because its the bottom border to slow but still in normal speed.

There are benefits to wearing armor. Whether those benefits are worth it for your personal playstyle are up to you and you alone.

Also, I haven't actually understood whether mobility affects attack speed as well. It doesn't seem it does, does it?
Armor is a general protection and isn't specific to a body part. Mobility doesn't affect attack speed.
