I think a boss-rush style arena would be fun too. Starting Marked 1-6, then named guy from Coliseum and the duo from the forest, then Risryn. Each time you clear it you get to challenge it on a higher difficulty and rewards could be different skins/colors for their outfits.
The NPC arena could be set up similar to the Coliseum in Kingdom Hearts, where you fight increasingly more difficult waves of enemies with Bosses thrown in every 5 rounds.
