Locked in Imperial quarters.

Didn't choose to be there it just happened, (I was ask from game but still at pc and suddenly I'm at this altar nr the final boss). the golden gates near the final boss are locked, couldn't find a way out through the Imperial quarters or rhe essence place.... How to get out?

    Also, it looks like I lost my hair too. Sigh, will have to abandon this character after two days worth of play and 35 levels.
