I play at 21: 9 (2560x1080) resolution, and the most strange thing is that the rendered cinematics support this resolution, but playing the game normaly, it add bars to the sides without any reason.

This needs to be fixed quickly.

    Is there any official word as to when this will be addressed? Anyone know of any third party fixes?

    It's such an aesthetically pleasing game; it's a shame it's hampered by these silly black bars. Even the UI is in the correct ratio.
