The school servers are screwed as well... I was Mentor of the #4 school and next second It says Im not in a school... If it wipes my school Im going to have to delete the game. I put too much work into it.
I could get in a couple of times after spamming retry forever. But even then, the schools weren't working and most games had either bad or terrible lag.
90% of my matches are lagging, the servers keeps shutting down from time to time, sometimes i cant connect all day..i guess the upcoming lag and rubberbanding fix is my last try to stay in this game, if that doesnt work thats just too bad, serves me right for trusting the company and pre ordering it..
Yeah. Entering the server is taking few tries and the schools are back. But most matches still have game breaking lag.
yeah, i see a lot of ppl telling that this new patch didnt fix shit about lag. Goodbye my precious money, thats how you kill a game and steal ppl's money..pretty bad move for a new company, i guess they didnt learn anything when they were working for ubisoft, shame..u dont promise a game and deliver another, u dont release a game that looks more like an alpha/beta..thats what happens when u rush things, where was the closed and open beta for this game? when did they tested the servers? why would u release a fighting game that relies so much on good connectivity without testing it in every country that the game is going to be available? if i knew we(brazilians and maybe some other countries) would get such a terrible support and connection quality, i wouldn't have bought this game in the first place...i tried to be patient, but this is out of hand, 12 days in and i managed to play only 1 or 2 matches without me or my opponent lagging/ rubberbanding..
I actually started to quit matches, when the lag is unbearable.
so that's why you left our match. part of the problem is probably potato internet, but I imagine its not the only factor if your having the problem else were( I was stenler2 we fought today)
Hey, man. I assume you felt the huge lag, too. I left at the beginning, when the super rubberbanding became obvious. I did get lucky and found a match with good connectivity after that, but the opponent didn't want to rematch.
And my internet is fine. Most matches were playing out well, a few days ago. And a dev just confirmed that they're still fixing the PS4 connectivity issues, in another thread.
BTW, are you getting laggy matches most of the time, or are most of them fine?
Overall good fixes. some players are lagging and causing hits to come up after the animation. i have no connection issues my self other than the occasional lag spike but rare. Keep doing what you are doing so some of us know you are doing what you can with the small team you have.
Well given I leave the game in between matches I really don't experience much lag on my end, but that said if I switch areas or do multiple rounds in a row without leaving the game I end up rubber banding around the map or ring every time I'm hit.
I've also noticed if I get a group of at the very least one consistent person the lag is non-existent, so that's something.
I've noticed matches that are stable, tend to stay that way, and vice-versa as well. Also being in-game for a while tends to bug out the sound. The 'rubberbanding' is game breaking for the most part, but this for me has occurred maybe 1/3 of the time. Still can't play with my buddy though, which is a huge bummer. When I invite him I lag, and when he invites me he lags. We can walk around and emote, but fighting doesn't work. Real shame, considering we got this to play together But I have faith in SloClap and this game! Regardless of lag, I've been grinding away for the Mask of Talem and the Oration Chokuto!
WIsh me luck fellow Absolvers, and good luck to you!
Leaving the game between matches helps? I'm so surprised. Is there a logic behind it, or is it more of gerryrig?
gerryrigging? sorta, its something I tried once when I first started rubber banding in the main game to clean up my connection to a zone I was in(this was after my first rubber banding trial btw, that was dreadful), but then I noticed if I leave the server and come back the connection to the trials was at times almost instant and of course I have been told I am rubber banding around on 3 occasions now after this, so I have no idea if its fixing my connection client side and I'm still rubber banding in game(I had the potato internet btw) or if its when I'm refreshing my connection to the server they are often on there 3rd or so match and they would of already been experiencing that lag anyway.
I would imagine this would require some testing from multiple people to know if this is just something that works for me or if its a sort of work around people could use to stabilize there connection at the very least during trials. I imagine if this did stabilize the trials and catch on the trials would be much more enjoyable.
btw I get relatively quick connections to the server when I try to connection so I wouldn't really recommend doing this if you didn't unless you're willing to wait the time required for you to connect to the server each time you want to run a trial.
As to the sound bug, I'm getting it, too, sometimes, on PS4. The sounds crackles, like static, like a bad speaker with high volume, but it isn't the speaker, it's the game. I tested it using difference sound system and also going to the PS4 menu. It really is the game.
13 days after release, still cant play a single match without either me or my opponent rubberbanding, at this point i think its wise to remove the game from the stores of countries without a dedicated server and support, a refund for those that purchased the game is also the best option..
I just proved that my internet factors into some of the rubber banding people experience when fighting me, because my last match said that was his first match of the day.
I've noticed an improvement on PS4- less lag, and I can actually play with my buddy now after 1.05! Still not perfect but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Only real problem I have now is the rarity of gear. Almost rank 200 in trials, and no new masks or fancy gear. Pretty upsetting but not enough to quit playing. Still grinding away lol
I think I've noticed a very slight improvement, too. But almost all matches are still to laggy and some or them are crazy. In one, I just saw my opponent standing still, then I had already lost the round.

When someone enters my area online, I start glitch running, and continue to glitch until I quit and rejoin the game. I'm playing on PS4. If you guys want to fix that with the next update or two I would greatly appreciate it.

An update on resolution progress would be appreciated.

Servers have been accessible and relatively lag free since yesterday afternoon.
Thank you Sloclap Team.
