Unreal Engine Crashes Every Time I Open The Game

So I put some 12-ish hours into the game, started doing online shenanigans, and then randomly this morning it randomly gave me Unreal Engine crashes after the intro logos. I've already tried redownloading it and it did not help. Please leave suggestions, thank you.

Hi Zephyrtix, I'm so sorry to hear about this! I'd like to ask a couple of questions, if that's okay?

Can I ask if it gives any specific error codes, or is it the standard Unreal Engine Has Stopped Working message?

Is your version of C++ and DirectX up to date?

Do you have a picture of the error message at all that you can show me?
  • It just spits out the same generic Unreal Engine has stopped working prompt.

I'm not entirely sure how to check those, so I'm not sure.

I'm struggling to take a screenshot of the error prompt but its just the basic Unreal Engine crash reporter.
  • That's no problem at all, and thank you so much for clarifying for me!

Would you be able to send your Crash Logs to support_pc@sloclap.com please? If it's only giving you the bog standard generic error message, our support team might be able to help diagnose the issue that's causing it.

You can grab the Crash Logs by following this path on your machine C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Absolver\Saved\Logs and the folders will look like UE4CC-Windows-(And a pile of numbers and letters).

If you can grab the files that log the crashes and email in, saying as well that it worked previously but now kicks you out during the intros, it would be massively helpful!

Again, I'm terribly sorry for the trouble this has caused, but we'll have the team look at it if you drop them a message.

    Thank you in advance!
  • Okay, thank you so much, I'll send them in now. Thanks again for the help.
  • Wait, sorry, but where exactly do I email it to?
  • i had the same issue and it was my gpu not playing nice with the p2p. in offline i can go full ultra, i mean who can't the graphics are from 1998, but as soon as i was online i got lag, framerate drops from movement, texture pop in, and the unreal crash. after lowering to high all i was able to play without crashes, though i still got the issues they were nowhere near as bad.
  • Thanks for the advice, but the problem is that I can't even access the settings to change them. And also, what do you mean by texture pop in?
