Using PS4 Controller On Steam

When using PS4 Controller on Steam, game detects double directional input, and you can see the UI switching from PS4 to Xbox controller display (for example 'X' changes to 'A') when anything is pressed-touched on the controller. Annoying.
Steam updated to latest, doesn't happen in any other game.
Windows 10. AMD FX 8350. Radeon RX480. 16GB RAM
