Invincibility Frames

I hate it already. It's Dark Souls all over. Against NPC I cannot count already the # of hit that simply went right trough my opponent because he is in his invincibility frames. Dodging should be about not being there when the hit arrives. Now it seems it's about "time it right and you can't be hit no matter what".

  • Before it was fine, useful but can be caught. Now it's as you said, Dark Souls dodge. Further, dodge being so good actually detracts from using your style defensive ability.
  • Took a while to get a reply. I was wondering if I was the only one who was feeling that way.

  • Funny how I used not to notice there was invincibility frames before 1.06. Now that they are back to the old dodge, I noticed them. Not saying it should be removed, dodge is really fine as it is with 1.07, but 1.06 opened my eyes on some games mechanics that I did not notice before.

    I had the same "problem" with dark souls back then. I was, and still is a big PvE player, so I remember in the souls series realizing you were invincible during a dodge when I got the ring that boost it. I can imagine the mage giving the ring to a warrior : "what does this ring do? Oh master wizard? Will it boost my resistance to fire? Will this ring heal me?" "No master knight! I created this ring to give you extra invisibility frames!" "Huh what???"
