An Idea for Easier Target Switching

The current controls will remain the same (hold R1, input a direction, release R1).
But in addition to that, releasing R1 before having inputted a direction should switch target to the last target you attacked. This will allow players to attack an opponent using the left analog stick then tap R1 to quickly switch to that target.

If you're currently locked on to the last target you attacked, then tapping R1 unselects the target as usual. The only downside to this is if you want to deselect the target after attacking another opponent you would have to tap R1 twice (The first tap would switch target. The second tap would deselect).

I only play on PS4 so I don't know how this would translate to keyboard and mouse controls.

I honestly think they should just give us an option to set right stick without a button input to switch targets, and right stick with button input to style ability.

i like the way for honor handles it where simply pressing R3 changes the target

I was just thinking about this the other day. The game could really benefit from a target switching function and it SHOULD be super easy to implement by the devs depending on how they have the code written. I just thought that while you have a target selected that clicking down on the right analog stick (since it's currently unassigned to anything) would be a really good way to target switch.
