Combat Trials Infinite Loading Screen

Most of the time that I attempt to do a combat trial I get an infinite loading screen. About 9/10 times. I searched around and could not find many others experiencing the same issue. A mate of mine also gets this weird bug where he cannot combo within combat trials - he can do the first attack or alt attack in any stance but it won't connect to the next move, his character just stands there and resets supposedly...
This might be related to another bug we experienced whilst cooperating in the game world. When transitioning from one area to another the game would get stuck and we would be stuck within the 'loading corridor' between one area and the next. The area we were moving too will have a blue forcefield (to let us know it is loading), but we won't be able to go backwards either (you get stuck on an invisible wall). We would be stuck in this limbo indefinitely - weirdly we can fight each other but neither of us take any damage.
We are both in Australia. We can connect easily to one another and fight each other and the AI easily on the proviso we don't try and change areas. So, something is going wrong when loading another area whilst being connected to another person.

If you go to 'Social' - 'Invitations' and put yourself into your own group (don't worry about the password/name) then it will load you into your own world. Then if you cue into combat trials from there you will have alot less issues - probably because it doesn't get stuck loading you OUT of your current lobby with other people around the bonfire.
