Ranked PvP
Something this game could really use is a Ranked PvP mode.
It could be set up so only max level Absolvers can queue up for it to neutralize any stat/deck discrepancies. Instead of Combat Trials it would be "Ranked Trials". The ranking could start as a general pool full of everyone at the start of the season, after 10 matches, it would give you your win:loss ratio and that would place you in a Tier of people around the same skill level, as you win matches, your rating would go up and eventually, by the end of the season, you'd be placed in the Tier where your skill level is.
As an example, Johnny fights 60 matches, and wins 47 of the 60, leaving him at a .78 win:loss ratio, so he'd be near the top of the 7th Tier, where Michael played 90 matches and won 86 of them placing him at .95, or right in the middle of the 9th Tier. There wouldn't be a Tier 10, as it would be near impossible to win every single one of your matches, so even if you won 10/10 for the first 10 matches, you'd be placed in Tier 9. There would have to be a decay system, so if you don't play at least one ranked match in a specific time frame (one week for example, this would be based on the length of a season), you would drop a tier. This would be a countermeasure for people winning their first 10 matches, ending in a high tier, and sitting on it and waiting for the end of the season.
At the end of the season, you could have optional Tier Tournaments (Tier 9 Tournament, Tier 8 Tournament, etc) so that the players in each tier can compete against each other for rewards based on their Tier level. This system could also be implemented for the future 3v3 matches, where you set up a ranked Team to fight together for a rating. It would also connect extremely well into an E-Sports scene where the Tier 9 competitors can be invited to play in a qualifier tournament or something.
