The game refuses to give me credit for beating this boss

no matter how many times i beat the boss ama sabu at the birds caller outpost the game doesn't give me credit i've tried everything from pushing off a cliff to killing her without getting hit once it just doesn't work i play on xbox and i've just recently download the game and i love it but i can't enjoy the game if i can't make progress i've haven't have any other problems with the game beside this one boss

    so the dot on the map doesnt dissappear?
    sounds really weird.
