Downfall Rules
Before I say anything else, No these are not Mandatory rules, just ways to make things a little less aggravating for your allies. Take it with a grain of salt
So I just reached gleam level 10 and somewhere along the line I noticed that when playing in a party, the player gets ALL the gleam even his party members collected at the end. Now that's cool and all, but it makes me question some of the behaviors I've been seeing whilst playing this game mode. Namely, people "stealing" another persons kill, or just generally joining a fight their ally would clearly win. This is odd to me because all someone does in that event is run a great risk of hurting their ally, and in turn lowering survive ability, thus lowering the overall reward for the dungeon run. Ex: I was hit with "Spinning high kick" while fighting just 1 enemy with orange life, which did more to me than my enemy. So I've devised a set of simple rules to keep unintended PK'ing to a minimum and rewards at a maximum.
-Don't pull out a sword when fighting near allies.
Even if they can block it, you're still doing damage.
-Don't try to take a kill just to speed things up
I find it surprising that my whole team joins a fight against just one enemy. Like, it should be easy enough to defend oneself 1v1, people tend to take more damage from allies who do this.
-The healing totems, use them.
If two or more people have less than half hp, or if just one person has low hp. Heal them, letting them die just lowers your own reward.
-to ensure that somebody is responsible for this, I'd argue however has the most Damage counters should do the healing. If everybody has an equal amount, I'd suggest the person with the single most amount of gleam. Reason to do with boss roles below.
--Bosses/Mini bosses--
Really just anybody you end up ganking. Probably the most important part.
-When facing these guys, I like to assign roles. This way nobody is in each others way
- If you have the most Gleam, stay back, your job would be to heal whomever needs to be revived. (If need be ofc)
-You get this role because your death would mean the greatest loss for all party members.
- You can ignore this if you have the bosses aggro.
- If you have the Bosses aggro, just fight them normally. Even if you think you're bad. The next guy on the list is here to support you.
- If you are Neither of the above two people, Get behind the boss. Your job is both to interrupt them when they attack, and to help break their guard when they defend.
-To keep from hitting your allies, it's advised to keep your combos short and sweet.
-it's also advised to make sure you have some stamina at all times. In case the bosses aggro switches to you.
That's it. Sorry if any of this seems unreasonable or detracts from your personal fun with the game mode. If you guys like/agree with the suggestions then please try to circulate this post. If there's any you'd like to add, I'll gladly edit the original post.
Thx for reading all the way through.
