Unable to "defeat" all the marked ones.
I've defeated every marked one but the gate at the end will not open, I still have one marked on the map but I've defeated them multiple times and nothing has changed. Is there a marked one I am missing in the vicinity of the gate or is this a bug? If so how do I fix it?

If you are not able to enter the gate, and the map shows one is still there, then not all marked ones were defeated. Sometimes players are confused and defeat someone else, like Jinn Mesca, thinking that it was marked one. If the map shows you that the is one near the gate, search better and you will find him.
