I was trying to figure out a way to map keys to have good control of the defensive mechanic using keyboard / mouse. There still doesn't seem to be a good way ( If you've come up with something please share )
I did notice that using a trackball mouse worked well to control the defensive, but the particular mouse I tried out had otherwise clunky button placement. Just thought I'd mention that trackball might be the best solution.. lol

I thought of two possible ways to customize the keys. 1) Make it possible for Left Shift to be a modifier AS WELL as a function key (block), so that LShift+ A,W,S,D does the defensive move in the four directions, while only holding LShift blocks, and while pressing a.w.s.d without holding shift moves the player. Or 2) Make a defensive ability mode key, which needs to be pressed and held while moving the mouse in a direction in order to activate the mechanic.. As it is now accidental mouse movement will trigger the defensive, but that wouldn't be a problem with a defense mode key.

    I wanted to say that the first suggestion is garbage because you wouldn't be able to move while blocking. still, it would be nice if it was possible to bind Alt+ other keys, or Ctrl+another key. Or spacebar even.

    I'm thinking as a Windfall, I'd like to try holding Left Alt and triggering my defensive by using WADS keys as the directions. while still being able to hold block with my pinky on LShift

    if keyboard inputs work properly ill just change my stagger backdodge to my extra mouse button, my front charge to strg (throw weapon away to somewhere else it isnt that important) , and the sidedodges to 2 and 3 or theyll remain at the mouse. may that sound cancerous to you xD but thats how ill do it
