Extended afk meditation exploit

As I was working on closed caption commentary in the Absolver gameplay videos I've been making, I noticed that being AFK in meditation for extended periods of time is a great way to farm loot that you didn't earn. Whether or not you need to be AFK at one of the essence stones is not something I've tested.

Anyway, there probably ought to be a fix for this because if some players realize it they might be inclined to (possibly?) bog down the server while afk, instead of logging out, for instance when they go to sleep or to work..

You can see what I mean in the video below at {00:25} - and as another small glitch, somehow Revario gets stuck in the wall, and that is shown at {01:50-2:30} or so in the same capture. After Revario finds his way out of the wall and is defeated, I collect the rest of the loot scattered throughout "the hunting path", while fighting and commentating on other aspects of the game. You can see the video below :

Thanks for all the continued work on this great game. I have a lot of fun with it.

would like to point out i've seen someone online for 3 days straight. Each day i would end up in his instance and hed be kneeling at the same exact spot at the altar with one of his knees touching the same rock.

yes each time i looked at the knee to see if he had moved.

Imagine if after 3 days he decided to get up and get all the loot xD

Sure thing UltraBlue. There is one other thing I've learned : You don't need to meditate at a stone to do this, as I just learned through extended "meditation" at the bottom entrance to "The Essence Mines". But, each time I've found loot I've been in "practice mode," where you can edit your moves.

Honestly, I'm unsure about how the loot works in this game, and it would be nice to know if I'm picking up others loot when I'm cooperating.. Do we each get a "copy" of the item dropped, or is the other player is getting jipped when I pick up all the loot I see? It seems like I get my own copy of loot because otherwise some other player would have probably picked all that up.

  • Thank you, ocybin and THDante for the additional information! You are welcome to add any new details if you notice something else.
  • I wasn't able to farm loot last night in Oratian Quarter, but it might have been the low player count.. See video, 00:00 - 00:25 - Was checking to see if there was any items dropped (to help investigate this issue) - but no..
