CALLING ALL ABSOLVERS

Absolvers, we have a duty to prospects.
It is our duty as dedicated players to encourage low level prospects to get better and enjoy the game for what it can be,
Instead of the alternative of beating the dog spit out of every low level you spot;
Instead spar with them. Lets be honest, even a level 58 can be dropped fast af if theyve button mashed their way to victory thus far and have little experience fighting other players for fear of spammers or getting jumped or whatever.
Either way i see it as if we want this game to keep being awesome we have to ensure a secured player base and we cant do that if everyone who trys the game rage quits after another player grab punched him 1000 times.
So yea, be nice to new players guys.
Its good for absolver. How you gonna level up in combat trials if nobody plays??? Lets see you get that super awesome cloak then. See my point?

  • Completely agree. Be nice to the noobs.
  • I agree. In general spamming wont make the fight interesting so in order to have fun we should plan our attacks and try to improve our skill with every match instead on focusing on winning every single round by any means. Actually i see alot of players fighting fair and thoughtfull already. Compared to bigger communities like in R6S or CsGo i think Absolver players are very friendly.
  • I agree -- I give low level fighters in CT 2 rounds, and focus on my class skills. However, if my opponent dashes at me while I'm bowing, tries to ledge me with shockwave, or runs and heals mid-fight, then the gloves are off :)
  • Yesss! You guys are awesome!
I agree that when a player doesnt bow an show respect i automatically say to myself "oh its on"
Lol and yes absolutly methamos we should focus more on skill then spamming. Just last night i fought someone who repeatedly used grab punch and since my bottom left alternative is grab punch we literally just kept grab punching each other. Eventually i ledged myself an took the loss cause i just didnt wanna deal with the b.s. but it made me realize as much as people hate that move, it is a strategic move if actually used correctly.
I have it cut of of my combo chain so i dont use it excessively and really only use it as a means to break combo pressure or when an enemy is pursuing me and as a counter attack when i have low stamina.
Ive been experimenting with different move combinations to balance speed an power for a few months now and im happy to say ive developed a pretty great deck. 125.8 power output and im just fast enough to drop most spammers (given they dont use every low attack in the game)
Ive dominated fights with people in possession
Of the ice mask and even won a 3v3 game with one idle player teammate (that shit was chaotic)
I cant wait till more content comes out and i just want more people to play. Its strange to me that my school is like 2200thsomthing in the world but i only have 4 students lmao that shows how little the player base is and that worries me as an avid player

Amen. Act like an a-hole, you'll be treated like an a-hole.

Yeah, happens from time to time. And it's a pity, because while I don't really care if my opponent is an a-hole (as long as he gives me an opportunity to hone my very modest skills) some people actually do. It's difficult to treat your opponent with respect when he has no intention to do the same. That may be unhealthy to both mind and body. So \/ Love & Peace, guys \/  We don't just beat the crap out of each other, we learn from those fights. No reason to be an a-hole.

Sure, I'm with you. But I certainly take satisfaction from beating the tar out of someone who doesn't acknowledge a friendly duel with a bow, hell, a wave even
  • I just fought some douche who pulled a sword first round and ledged me, needless to say the gloves came off and he recieved no mercy
  • Since the last week i keep it like this: if someone is below pvp-rank 60 i test a few combos to see if they can compete with my deck. But for the most of them the techniques are strong so they often go back to block. if thats the case i do one technique they very rarely learned by than over and over again till they get that i want to teach them.... THAN i teach them my whole deck xD
and do a little bit sparring afterwards. I did this to about 6 people now and it has been fun and they were quite thankfull. i can just recommend that to encourage the beginners a little bit.

Ah, and here I was wondering why some of my opponents use the same move over and over and over again (especially those neverending series of sweeps) like they are asking me to parry it. Now I got it )))

  • x) sry if i annoyed you. the communication via emotes is a bit diffecult

I've tried this a few times, nobody gets it! We all need to agree on an emote that means "I'm trying to teach you".
  • Ahah... tried that too. And then I stopped doing that after the first person below pvp-rank 60 that kicked my ass several times in a row. It seems that pvp-rank can be quite deceiving )) Still it would be nice to have more emojis or/and slots for them.

Haha, I've been tricked into a false sense of security a few times as well!
  • Hmmmm. Which emote would be perfect for "come learn these hands!"
Lol i usually just tap block a bunch before initiating the fight. Maybe the "poor thing" emote followed by some blocks and or feints.
    Idk what do yall think?
  • i just teached one yesterday and he got it quite fast that i wanted to teach him the techniques(i used calbot till he stopped attacking xD) but i saw that he never stopped blocking ... wich as we all know  decreases the stamina regeneration. So i wanted to teach him that putting down the block at the right time helps to recover.
I swear it took at least 20minutes. The next time ill just add him in steam and send him a message xD
  • I communicated with not so many absolvers to teach, but all they want was only unlearned attacks. I asked "Do you want some advices?". They dont want it.

I've been teaching everyone I see on pc how to calbot unless they try to beat the shit outta me
  • I'm guilty I ledge here & there lmao but I'm very respectful & martial salute every fighter I hate when pros laugh at me :( specially when they are whopping on me I wouldn't do that to them I respect every player that is lower then me
  • TenzoTheAbsolver, don't mind them, just keep your cool )

Just yesterday I fought about 5 matches with some newbie who ignored my every single attempt to greet him and used it to rush-atack me ^ _ ^. Maybe it was just a bad day for him.

As for so called "pros" - I think laughing at your oponent like that is a bit unprofessional in of itself.
