Urgent need of LAN compatibility or dedicated servers by players

I bought the game, and enjoyed it, but I want to play with my cousin, who lives 10 blocks away, we both have great internet connection, yet the lag is unbearable and ridiculous, even with 1v1 matches, too bad, we were so hyped about being able to bust each other's noses in what could have been the best fighting experience out there, I guess we'll have to wait until something similar comes out, seriously, all the complains about this game are about the lag and servers, why not do something about it?
