PvP-oriented free roam; no NPCs, >3 players
Absolver suffers from the same issue that Dark Souls does, regarding PvP in the game world. Since respawning NPCs are present everywhere, only specific areas were used for PvP. Now, whilst Absolver does have a PvP arena, it's much nicer to fight in an open world environment for obvious reasons.
We've all this space, and because of NPC's, it's not feasible to have PvP without a bunch of NPCs getting in the way. Having an option for the NPCs to be removed, with the freed up bandwidth being dedicated to more player slots, would be ideal.
As for how this mechanic would work, upon defeating the boss(es) in an area, an option would be present on the area's shrine, allowing you to toggle whether or not you're in the PvP world.
It's a shame to have a sweet environment, that's not viable for consistent PvP. Open world is always better than dinky arenas.

Too often have I wanted to engage in a free for all/free form dueling activity in the open world. It get's pretty boring ganking NPCs or clearing an area of boring enemies before fighting something that has a neurological network capable of constructing, executing, and developing interesting mindgames during a fight.
