Absolver's Hidden style : Diagonal back stepping
That hidden style seems to be the new popular gimmick. I fight more and more people who, instead of using their style, just step back in diagonal to dodge any hit. Afterwards they put a fast and long range attack to reach you. Even a feint is sometimes not enough to counter it, because they can attack right away. It takes zero skills and the people I fought don't even do it to avoid a specific attack or anything they just do it everytime before they attack. You can see this guy dodging even before every first hit and even when im not attacking.Almost feel like an exploit. see for youselves :

Also speaking from experience he was dodging specific moves. It seemed spammy because dodge is a disengaging defensive move. Repeated use of it will allow you to disengage and waste the enemies stamina bar, forcing them to back off. Best way to use it is on every second attack actually. First one will hit i-frames, second whiffs, third i-frames, fourth whiff etcetera into perpetuity. Even at the bottom of your stamina bar this disengage is unstoppable... if you can time 2 i-frames correctly every time.
So is it a problem? Nah. It's a counterable disengaging move, and while it has some interesting offensive uses, none of them are easier to pull off than normal defensive functions. A dodge and an attack simply isn't as good as the defensive stance abilities, I still pick them over the dodge every time.
I'd just say it does what it's supposed to. Maybe it'll get maeta and I'll be wrong, but I don't see that happening unless the devs double the i-frames randomly...... . . . . .
Maybe it's my impatient nature, but I tend to still get caught because I did'nt quite grasp how to determine the "side" fro wich my blow will come, so I sometime get caught.
It sadly tends to work against me
