Bug possibly?

I was playing on xbox one, I have 2 characters a level 52 named Williamson-1 and a level 2 named absolver, when I went back to my level 52 he still had all the hours I spent on him but he was level 2 and when I went to the characters both of them had the name Williamson-1 but hes level 2 now WHAT HAPPENED TO MY GAME? can I fix this anyone?

    I guess I'm just gonna have to accept the fact that I'm out of luck and I'm gonna have to start all over =(
