Kahlt once again OP

why is it that forsaken and windfall get a delay recovery time on thier stuff but kahlt does not.. kahlt just absorbs and goes right back to trump stumpin your butt to the mud.. the difficulty of use vs reward is not even a thing here.. kahlt trumps all..

    blame the fact that its the most lag friendly class and strafes. side strafes and absorb was always a powerfull combo.

    Absorb is still feint-able. It's still punishable in the same way forsaken or windfall is
  • main difference between Absorb punishing and Forsaken/Windfall punishing is that both Windfall and Forsaken have more ways around them. Alongside having a longer recovery that allows for heavier feint punishes.
  • Absorb does seem OP. Of course it's possible to find ways around it, but IMO it's generally more difficult to handle a good Kahlt user. And faints are not a silver bullet if your oponent have many quick moves. They just spam, absorb, spam, absorb... So in order to do anything at all you have to use feints, delay your atacks, keep a distance, block a lot and even with that sometimes the fight becomes really awkward and one-sided.

    I think the root of that problem is the stamina regen for absorbing. Here's the descr from the wiki:

    "Kahlt Method is a Combat Style in Absolver. It is one of the 3 initial styles you can choose from at the start of the game. It is a largely defensive style, allowing you to ignore the recoil from being hit, and giving you time to regenerate the lost health."

    So, the fact that khalts get stamina regen from absorbing means they get all the benefits of being tanky -- getting health back, having an easy class skill that allows them to react and absorb more hits, as well as being able to throw the most attacks out without running out of stamina, as well as getting more shards from the easier class ability. Wouldn't it make more sense if the class had the tanky ability, but had to play defensively or run out of stamina -- like the original intent?
  • Idk the Time frame on this but khalt does not getgaruntee on parry just temp resistance to light attack stun not med or heavy attacks it dosen't stun and the gold chain of your opponent can still keep going even after you parry honestly idk what the plan is for khalt but as is it feels limited
  • @broganman may 2018. khalt is said to be the 2nd or 1st worst class now but in all honesty, every single style is viable. the differences are visable but not overwhelming. you can easiely see that when you look at the last tourneys. all agree stagger is the best style, yet no stagger makes it to the finals cause the good players dont like stagger
