Please watch Sloclap!
Sorry guys, I really don't mean to offend anyone with this!
Edit: I don't have a problem with PC players... Whenever I refer to the PC community, I'm not talking about PC players I am talking about the r/absolver subreddit which I mistakenly called a PC community coz I have to go on PC to access it >~<"

Comments
and the reddit posts are much more grim than
what the majority of players think.
I'ma just be super blunt about this.
I hope you're not suggesting that PS4 players are behind the sham that is r/absolver... Yes there are more PS4 users than PC users but that's coz there are just more PS4 players in existence, and most PS4 players just don't act like that until they get to the subreddit. Watch the vid bro. Absolutely zero complaints on PSN forums. The PS4 players are happy to play on 30fps withassive and frequent frame drops but they love the game so much that they don't even complain.
I'm not saying PS4 players are perfect or that PC players are in the wrong, I'm just saying that the subreddit needs to be more like the PSN community for the sake of the game, especially if Sloclap insists that the resdit be one of the main forms of communication for Absolver.
I didnt mean to blame it all on pc players and im sure you didnt meant to blame it all on PS4 players either
i dont know wich players are more toxic in general and i didnt mean to infere anything there. I just know that more toxic players than greatful players post their thoughts because we know that sloclap cant pick up all of our ideas and that causes friendly players to hold back while toxic players just dont care and continue to rant.
I'll just expand on some of the things being discussed here;
I think both sets of players have different ideas of what is toxic and what isn't... It's tough, and I don't know the solution to it. It all depends on your perspective. At the end of the day, I know that people are getting agitated coz they love the game so much, and lot's of people have different ideas on what direction they want to take the game. But at the end of the day, that's up to Sloclap and rightly so.
I do think, however, that the toxic players on r/absolver are shutting down or even provoking the genuine supporters coz they are so insistent on defending their opinions and they kind of just downvote, argue with or straight up mock players who still support Sloclap's methods.
It's just about whether we are willing to support Sloclap or not coz they just can't do it if the players are not behind them. I think Sloclap are so focused on developing the XBOX port coz they NEED more support from players to give us what we want especially since no one on reddit is being all that supportive.
now, I'm just going to briefly mention PvP vs PvE coz that discussion, although not immediately apparent, is deeply rooted with the development problems for Absolver.
There was a lot of dispute as to which direction the game should take, whether it be PvE or PvP; and I honestly think that Absolver can accommodate both and do them both very, very well.
I see PvE comparison's with Warframe and other games in terms of how the community is run and how new content is rolled out, but I don't think their community ever questioned Sloclap's design choices like we did, and if the warframe devs did receive a backlash, they just proved the haters wrong by adding new content.
I also have made comparison's with PvP fighting games like Tekken or Soulcalibur, but those experiences only work if you take balance matters out of the player's hands. Either you like what you get or go somewhere else is how most fighting games usually operate. One thing that all the successful fighting games are doing these days is to implement mechanics that help newcomers ease into the PvP experience, and players in Absolver HATE that, it's a form of elitism imo and should have no place in video games. Games should be accessible to everyone.
Either way, those are my observations and I personally would like to see every single player happy and see them all stop complaining, but I'm just one guy and no amount of talking from me is gonna help.
Anyway, back to my main point... I just wanted to hopefully inspire Sloclap with the original post and just let them know that not everyone hates them!
i fully agree that absolver needs to provide way way more in-game information for newbies.
I would add tho that just because OvP is more important does not mean it should take priority. PvP will expand naturally as the PvE progresses. I say this because
PvE probably attracts more players; atleast on console, and so it should take priority so that Sloclap can get some more revenue, especially since they are going ahead with the xbox port which I'm feeling more and more like it could be a good thing.
With more revenue, new moves and game modes and even more stable servers would come easier, new maps can be made based on new locations added to the overworld.
And of course, the PvE audience would be inspired by the PvP masters to get into the deeper workings of the game and a larger PvP following might ensue if we had a larger PvE playerbase since they'll be attracted by that difference in skill that you cannot reproduce in PvE if that makes sense...
I think this way it will become a symbiotic relationship that is beneificial to both PvP and PvE.
