Has anybody started a pure Boxing School? (PS4)

I'm having a lot of fun with my pure boxing character and would like to join a school that's fists only.
Anybody made one yet?

  • I had a quite a few boxing schools. It really seems like absolver is not rounded out well for that particular fighting style. It doesnt really allow you to cover all aspects when it comes to punches thrown. It would be awesome, but boxing might not work out on Absolver. We may have to wait for Absolver 2.
  • It works, I mean I’ve beaten some emeralds with the boxing style i use it’s just very difficult cause it opens you up to [redacted] kicks. that put you in a disadvantage but it’s very possible if you try.
  • I just made my pure boxing school for ps4 th id is (3ih)

I'd hazard to say that it's the best one you'll find out there.
  • Hey there boxers. I liked your decks but they both seemed to lean heavily on Charged attacks. I can certainly understand why but those attacks always felt a little...dirty. Anybody playing on hard-mode? (e.g. no crutch moves)
  • Yes, but the main reason why punchers need those charged attacks is because most of the punch attacks are just mid thrusts. They are easily dodged and almost always require the initial contact to even make a solid combo.
  • Pre-expansion, yes, the Charged attacks seemed to fill the low/lateral niche that seemed to be lacking; but post-expansion, the Faejin set has accounted for those shortcomings beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the Dev's approach; really 10/10 stars. For a boxing build, the new punches are really fantastic; they feel heavy, look great and counter existing imbalances very well. I especially LOVE that they eschewed too many special attacks (Dodge, Charge, etc.) and instead focused on pacing and range, it makes all the new attacks feel clean and deliberate. I feel like I have options for any scenario which is more than I could have hoped for with a single expansion.

True lol I have made a punching deck since. It is still a tab limited but there are low punches now!
  • Here's the thing. Regardless of the update, a few of the punches are still restricted a bit compared to the kicks. Also, certain punches ex: (backhands) aren't really considered to be good boxing punches. So for a boxer, or fans of boxing, the flow doesn't feel genuine. To me it's like 85% I still enjoy the game, and everything it has to offer. Most of my boxing decks reek havoc. And I know it's not so much your deck as it is the player too. Until you come across a seasoned opponent with a nasty deck filled with avoiding kicks lol then your boxers kind of average. I feel like all of the good boxing moves come from forsaken, and khalt. That being said, Forsaken doesn't really need low punches because of its parry. Khalt to a degree. Not so much as forsaken. So that eliminates what feels like to me the other half of what a boxer might need in absolver moveset wise. Just my opinion. I'm still going try my hardest to bust heads boxing lol
