  • Hello Sloclap
I have some ideas about new styles of fighting that you could put into the game and I thought of the 8 animal fighting styles from the Shaolin Kung Fu:

    1. Dragon Style: The dragon that promises happiness in China is the first animal style.
The dragon (Longquan), symbolizes spiritual strength, it stands for the ability to concentrate and the training of the eyesight. He is agile and flexible in his movements and therefore unpredictable.

    2. Monkey Style: Almost as unpredictable as the dragon style is the monkey style.
For this style you have to be very agile and flexible, because it contains many roles, somersaults and somersaults. This technique allows you to dodge quickly and make lightning fast attacks.

    3. Mantis Style: The Mantis is a mixture of very stormy arm and hand techniques and the effective leg techniques of monkey style. She is even wilder and stormier than the monkey.

    4. Snake Style: In contrast to the wild technique of the praying mantis, the snake's technique is very precise. The snake (Shequan) symbolizes breathing and promotes the vitality of man, the Chi. In this technique, the goal is to achieve soft and flexible movements of the hand, arm, leg, head and also the body. Although this technique is not as wild as the Mantis and the Monkey, it does not have the track, the patient and concentrated technique of the crane.

    5. Crane Style: The secret, the invincibility of the crane is that it acts more passive.
The crane (Hokquan or Hequan) is synonymous with flexibility and stands for the training of the tendons. The crane waits concentrated and uses the concentration weakness of his opponent to attack quickly and accurately.

    6. Tiger Style: One of the best known styles is the tiger style.
The tiger (Huxingquan) has strength, it stands for the strengthening of bones and joints. His movements are supple and yet powerful. In this style, the tiger paws are imitated with the fingers and the palm of your hand.

    7. Leopard Style: Just as dangerous as the tiger is the leopard. The leopard (Baoquan) is promised speed, his movements are symbolic for the strengthening of the muscles. He is also very flexible and accurate. The student must be very articulate for this technique as it combines many punches and kicks with twists.

    8. Eagle Style: One of the strongest styles is the eagle style.
Like in tiger style, the claws are imitated here with the hands. The most dangerous in this style is that the attacks target the sensitive vital points of the body. So the eagle can control the aggressor with a few movements.

These eight animal styles are the same in all styles that evolved later and thus form the basis of Wushu.
