Fast Travel
Fast Travel.
For the duration of the games story, I would consider manual travel about the map acceptable; the scenery is often awe-inspiring and the frequent npc's give practice, experience, and occasionally punishment.
-BUT-
Once the story has been completed, the focus shifts to PvP trials with PvE bosses making an appearance at trial level landmarks. While I greatly enjoy everything the world of Absolver has to offer, I would prefer to skip walking all over the map to, say, fight a boss, find some item, or fight different npc's to learn new attacks.
Just connecting the Altars with fast travel upon discovery (yeah, just like Dark Souls) would be an immense improvement in my opinion.
