Mobility and Damage

when I started the game I wanted to be a "Tanky" type like in mmorpg games, with full heavy armor.
but after playing the game for some time and reaching the max lvl and fighting other people I found out that those who wear Light armor and have a "fast" mobility will do that high damage like I'm not even wearing anything, and I cant even hit them because I'm too slow, and even if I hit them the damage is very low.
now even that I change my armor (to the style that I like) my mobility is on normal and 55 protection,
but still those who have Mobility on fast will do way more damage then I can have time to react.
and its not rewarding if I'm not using light armor.

my main point is:
those who have fast Mobility have too many advantages,
high speed, high stamina recovery, high damage.

what I think need to be done is like with heavy attack, they are slow but their damage is high.

so if someone have slow mobility his damage will be very high, but the attack will be slow, and slow stamina recovery.
if someone have normal mobility his damage will be medium scale, and the attack will be on normal speed, with medium stamina recovery speed.
and those who will have fast mobility will have low damage, but their attacks will be fast and will have fast stamina recovery.

thank your for reading!
and thank you in advance!

  • I thought mobility didn't affect movement speed? I haven't had many problems since I tried going from very fast to normal but the extra armor has made PVP very forgiving.
  • mobility affect movement speed. At slow, I walk/run much slower than at high speed. Myself, I use heavy armor, and I manage to win a fair amount of matches. The stamina penality, I negate it with the use of shockwave. As for the damage, I do decent damage against peoples wearing light armor, but I still have much more staying power. Remove your armor and fight the same person, you will realize that they will deal you even more damage than before you wear your armor.

It's more about finding the level of armor you are comfortable with. The more the armor you have, the longer the fight gets, the lighter, the more quick it gets.

That's pretty much why I use heavy armor. It gives me a bit more time to figure out my opponent deck and try to adapt to it.

I don't think armor and mobility need an update. I think it works fine at it is.
  • As a fast armor user, i think that the amount of reward gained from fast is pretty useless at this point, with the update to guard breaks, having better stamina recovery is useless, damage is useless due to huge armor values, if you fight anyone in armor, youre just at a disadvantage flat out. They can have the same build at a slighty lower damage output, but take "half" the damage from a hit. Fast armor is just like training to me, its almost like playing naked.

I actually find that the exact opposite is the case. The stamina penalty barely effects regen most of the time. You run out of stamina more often by being either too aggressive, or blocking a guard break. In regards to my damage proportional to my opponents, I found that wearing 55+ blunt protection in low medium weight is way more worth it than the damage you gain from mobility. When I'm at 24-30 mobility I still deal way less damage to anyone with 55+ blunt protection due to how mobility damage bonus doesn't exponentially scale.

Even if I deal on average 5-10 more damage, they absorb 20-30% more than me and 50% of 95 is still way less than 80% of 85. The trade off is too much in the favour of protection due to mobility scaling being so low at higher numbers.
