Environmental hazard maps aren't fun or competitive and shuold be looked at.
These two maps just don't promote fun gameplay in the the slightest IMHO.
I've even started forfeiting them and just jumping off the edge so i can re-q and get another map.
ALot of the enjoyment of absolver pvp is progressiong round to round learning the other players deck and how to counter it.
On the enviromnetal maps it just ends up being who can cheese who into falling 1st.
the big rock one is the worst, but actually the bookshelf room isnt good either because people get obsessive about positioning and refuse to move for minutes at a time. let alone when you can avoid the edges on that one you end up backed inot corners and the camera becomes very annoying.
thanks.

also, as i already mentioned the library map is a double headache because of the how charaacter models collide with walls being not ideal.
Regardless, these maps continue to be the least competitive maps and the big rock in the sky one is pretty much a joke/troll map.
If I can be of any help, I'd suggest staying OFF the staircase in the "library" type map and fighting enemies at the more secure areas at the top/bottom floors. While the walls can be a pain to get locked into, they're at least more forgiving than ledges.
For the Oratian Quarter type map, I usually try to keep myself on the whole areas and toward the center. And, if possible, try establishing a bit of an honor system with your opponent(back off when they're toward the edge, give them time to get away from edges, and keep the fight in safe areas). Most of the time, they hate the edges just as much as you do and are willing to keep the fight fair.
If those tactics fail, just try and be more aware of your surroundings. If you think you're in danger of getting hit off an edge, slide so that you and your enemy's positions are reversed, or bring Earthquake to create some distance.
I don't like these at all.
Donut specifically should not be a donut.
Ledges are fine as long as they aren't over abundant like on Library or Donut.
Did I mention how annoying it is to fight on Donut?
