Can people actually Block when attacking?

I was fighting a person, and he kept blocking when he was attacking to me, when i atacked to interrupt the "blocked" animation happened and he just went trough all my attacks, it wasnt this normal "block" that gives you some seconds to reaction.

    Might he be using charge attacks which can take one hit before being interrupted? The visual cue for that is very similar to block.

    the guy turned like with a black aura, just like the Block one, thats what i found strange.
    I know those ones that give you a hit before interrumpting but it wasnt the case, i have my doubts but i guess he was hacking. He used it several times when he was losing.

    Devs should really implement something to stop people hacking the save files, i mean, they are starting to use the hacks only when they are losing so you get the feeling they are playing fairly.

    The black aura means he feinted his attack.

    this is like so many other things in this game that lack any explanation whatsoever and lead people to feel that the game is broken or buggy in some way when it's a simple case of the game being a poor example of a game and not having any way for the player to understand how to play it. i swear to god these guys are just Dark Souls fanboys and instead of taking inspiration and making something great, they've just ripped off the idea and created garbage, just like Dark Souls 2.

    long story short guy, the player is using the 'feint' move. it's made by attacking then hitting block straight away. your character is surrounded in a black aura and your own move is interrupted. a feint in boxing or any other martial art sport can be devastating, but this game is so broken it just looks like a hack.

    Yeah, they never explain it. Yep, there is no tutorial where all the moves and buttons are explained. For sure they also forgot to add a "Tips" section that is available during practice with a lot of infromation on stances, attacks and other tips...

    Some attack moves can block or dodge while attacking but only in a predefined direction depending of the move. Maybe it is what you experienced.
